In this episode, Abby welcomes back Mark Wentworth for a second episode.
Today they will be talking about “Color as a Visual Storyteller” and how we can enhance the visual narrative using color.
Have you ever watched a film without sound and simply paid attention to the color?
Try it, and you will be amazed at what you see and how it deepens the plotline and builds a character profile.
Color enhances our emotional engagement with the visual narrative.
Colors used are there to prepare the viewer emotionally, mentally, and physiologically for what is about to happen next, color is always one or two steps ahead of the story.
With a lot of everyday content now moving online, we are all becoming visual storytellers.
The question is, does your visual color story match the narrative?
