Happy Monday, Goons! Join Doug, Jason and Ade for this week’s 90s November flick, Anaconda from 1997! The film was directed by Luis Llosa, who you may know as the producer of some of your favorite telenovelas, as well as director of Sniper and The Specialist. The movie stars Ade’s idol, Jennifer Lopez, alongside a star-studded cast that includes Ice Cube, Jon Voight, Eric Stoltz, Owen Wilson, Kari Wuhrer, Jonathan Hyde and the man himself, Danny Trejo. The premise is simple; we follow a documentary film crew down the Amazon river, where they are basically picked off one by one by an anaconda. All sorts of shenanigans ensue, so if you still haven’t seen this hidden gem, please watch. It’s currently streaming on Hulu, but it is edited down, so if you want an uncut or gorier version of it, I suggest finding a copy elsewhere. If you have seen it, what do you think?
