The challenges facing the National Party were laid bare at its AGM in Wellington over the weekend. Peter Goodfellow was re-elected National Party president - hours after after partly blaming the party's abysmal election results on the "celebrity Labour government" and calling its Covid-19 response tyrannical. Former prime minister John Key didn't agree. Speaking to the same audience, Sir John said National needed to look in the mirror to see where it all went wrong.
