We are back to the skeleton crew with as Jaime and Hiram join me to discuss some of the latest headlines. It's football season and it looks like Colorado's season may be over after week 3 as the Oregon Ducks bring them back to earth. Also look like it's over for me and Hiram's fantasy football teams. I ask the guys if the Rams pulled a sneaky move to cover the spread. I wonder how an $80 million plane disappears and I ask if it is ok to assume that a husband is going to pick up the whole tabs for his wife and her friends.
BBQ Time - We are getting ready to compete in the American Royal Cookoff. This will be a learning experience for sure and a road trip from hell as we make the journey from South Texas to Kansas City. There is another meat bandit in the RGV this time it's a brisket bandit. Hiram tells us about his bbq skills at Big Bear Colorado. I ask the guys if they think it is safe to eat cloned meat as Wendy's and other burger chains are practically giving away hamburgers. GW BBQ is moving to Edinburg and I tell the joe army about two Smoke Crafters locations with indoor seating in some nice AC.
We go behind the Red Carpet as we talk about Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift. I have to issue an apology as I thought it was all a publicity stunt. Hiram is not to happy about the situation and doesn't care to talk about it too much. Jaime has an entirely different opinion. We give a shoutout to our friend Eddie who's been hitting the barbecue comp scene hard. Also shout out to my sister for celebrating her 23rd birthday. Finally an upcoming shoutout to John as we will be celebrating his bday somewhere in Kansas City.
A bunch of joes that cook like pros!!!
