Sam Reid is the keyboardist and one of the founders of the Grammy nominated and Juno winning band Glass Tiger.
The band formed in Newmarket Ontario in 1981. They rose to fame in 1986 with their debut album Thin Red Line which went quadruple platinum in Canada and gold in the U.S. The album featured a few massive international and timeless hits like Don’t forget Me (When I'm Gone) and Someday. Both songs were top 10 hits in the U.S and the album helped them win 3 Juno awards in 1986 for Album of the Year, Single of the Year (for Don't Forget Me (When I'm Gone) and Most Promising Band of the Year.
The band won two more Juno's in 1987 and got a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist, which is kind of a big deal!
Glass Tiger followed up with two more albums in 1988 and 1991 which were both certified platinum and included hits like I’m Still Searching and My Town which features Rod Stewart.
The band went on hiatus in 1993 before being on-and-off again between 2003 and now. They released their 5th studio album called 31 in 2018 and 12 Juno nominations later, these iconic Canadian rockers are still touring to this day.
