It's a new year here on Off The Podium and that means we're back for another epic interview! We love talking to athletes from sports we have never covered before, particularly when that athlete is a true legend of not only the sport, but the Olympics in general! Today we have the pleasure of bringing you an interview with the icon that is eight-time Olympian and six-time Olympic medallist Andrew Hoy from the great sport of equestrian in an interview you simply won't want to miss! Andrew goes over his incredible career, including just what brought him into the sport of equestrian and how that journey has taken him to a record number of Olympics for an Australian athlete. We also learn the intricacies involved in choosing a horse to compete with and how important that is in order to do well at a competition. Added to this we find out why winning a bronze in Tokyo might've been better than a gold, why Brisbane 2032 isn't impossible for him and why he might want to give his next Olympic medal to his next horse. It's an amazing chat with a truly amazing Olympian that you simply can't miss.
