In the spotlight is Ray Jay Perreault. After 10 years as a U.S. Air Force pilot, he spent almost 30 years in the aerospace industry with Northrup Grumman, the giant defense contractor. He began writing science fiction after realizing there was a niche for more sophisticated stories and more realistic sci-fi storytelling.

His titles include: “Virus: Earth’s Last Battle,” “Virus – 72 Hours to Live,” “Progeny,” “Progeny’s Children,” “Earth II” and “SIMPOC,” among others.

We discuss:

>> UFOs

>> The KGB

>> Binge writing

>> Writing for yourself rather than your readers

>> Female lead characters

>> Writing dialogue

>> The value of creating a “readers club”
