In a world filled with the noise of social media—where we sometimes cheer on individuals who ridicule anyone they disagree with—we’ve lost the art of honoring people. Especially people we believe to be dishonorable. Saul repeatedly tried to kill David or have him killed. David had the chance to seek revenge against Saul, but instead he chose to honor him. How is that possible? Today, we explore how we can follow the way of a merciful God by extending forgiveness to those who don’t seem to deserve it. Think about who seems dishonorable that you can honor through mercy and forgiveness.

Join us on August 13 at the campus nearest you to battle food insecurity both locally and globally. Participants will be invited to donate specific food items that our Bay Area partners will distribute locally, and together we will build food kits, with the goal of providing 285,000 meals globally! This will be a great time to give back and be together in community. Go to for more details and how to register.
