Last week was our campus preaching weekend which means we had live teaching at each of our 5 campuses. We get some time to chat with Josh Robertson, our San Jose Campus Pastor, to dive into why we need to love not serve, and diseases that plagued us as kids.

One beautiful thing about being human is that God gives us unique gifts, talents, personality traits, passions, and perspectives. Our world and culture tell us to use these strictly for our own self-centered motives. Join us this week to hear how God’s plan is different; God's plan is to combine our individuality with others uniqueness - to create something bigger and more beautiful. We are each a unique part of a bigger body, the body of Christ!

Seek out your spiritual gifts, talents, or passions and use these unique characteristics not just for your own good, but also use them for the body of Christ. If you are talented at music, join your local worship team. If you have the gift of hospitality, consider joining the welcome team or leading a small group.

It is only because of your generosity that we are able to offer care and support groups, kids ministry, students ministry, and Life Groups. All of this is only possible through your generosity. Our fiscal year end is August 31, and, despite careful spending, we are forecasting a budget deficit for the year. Whether this is your first time giving or you give regularly, we hope you will consider a fiscal year-end gift. By giving today, we will be able to enter next year ready to move forward as God leads us. Please visit http://menlo.church/give or give through our app today, so we can continue offering these important programs.

Join us the weekend of October 14-16, when we will have TWO events in Mount Hermon – a spiritual retreat for adults and camp for our students! For the adult retreat, we’ll worship, share meals, laugh, rest and enjoy the beauty of the Santa Cruz mountains. And, parents of students, the student camp is a great time for your kids to get away, make new friends, and learn more about the God who loves you no matter what. Learn more about both and register at http://menlo.church/fallretreat
