The Los Angeles Chargers needed upgrades after falling short in 2023, and new offensive coordinator Kellen Moore fits the bill. Moore over Lombardi should bring more efficiency on offense and be a giant upgrade for the Chargers rushing attack. Another big upgrade for the Chargers is Quentin Johnston over Joshua Palmer. The offense was fine with Palmer, but Johnston brings explosiveness and yards after the catch ability Los Angeles desperately needed. Derius Davis was the most electric return man in college football, and should be an important improvement to the Chargers Special Teams. The hardest upgrade to quantify is Eric Kendricks over Drue Tranquill. Tranquill was great last year, but Kendricks has more experience and a fuller resumé.
