Emma partnered with her library to create an event to show youth how they could be more engage in their community.

Emma Fass is a Senior at Norcross High School in Peachtree Corners, Georgia. She is enrolled in the International Baccalaureate program, where she is a full Diploma candidate. She will graduate high school in May 2022. She plans to attend university in the fall to study International Affairs and Romance Languages. At school, Emma is a 4-year Varsity-Scholar Athlete for the Norcross Swim and Dive team, where she has been a state qualifier all four years. Currently, she is a senior captain on the team. In 2022, Emma won the County Championships in the 50-yard Freestyle event and placed top ten in the 7-A GHSA Swimming State Championships. Emma is also an active member in several clubs, including DECA, Women Empowering Women, Random Acts of Kindness, and she currently serves as a Vice-President in the National Spanish Honor Society. Emma is an active member of her community, and she regularly volunteers at the local library. She is a member of the Teen Advisory Council at the Peachtree Corners Library where she plans and carry-out programming for teens. Additionally, she is a participant in the Gwinnett County 4-H club as a teen leader and is a competitive year-round swimmer for the Spartans Aquatic Club. She is also involved in her Church youth group, where she is a CORE teen leader. Emma has been a Girl Scout for 13 years, joining in kindergarten. During her time as a Girl Scout, Emma has participated in a variety of activities. Her favorites are Father-Daughter Camping at Camp Misty Mountain with her dad and sister and World Thinking Day. Emma competed each year in the Gwinnett County bake-off, where she has won multiple times. She also spent a day at the Georgia Capitol in 2020. Emma is a recipient of the Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards, the highest awards in Girl Scouting. This summer, Emma and her sister will embark on a Girl Scout Destination to Italy centered on the country’s cuisine and culture. In her free time, Emma loves to read, watch movies, bake, and spend quality time with her cats. She also enjoys spending time outside with her friends and family. Emma’s proudest accomplishments include her time as a United States Youth Ambassador to Ecuador in 2020 and a representative for Georgia at Girls State and Girls Nation in 2021.
