Manage episode 293863211 series 2477145
For the 63rd episode of the Healthcare IT Podcast, we’re talking about when 2 health IT guys walked into a hospital. Ok, that’s not really a joke. Colin and I really did recently have experiences going into a hospital to receive care for ourselves and our kid. In this episode we talk about our experience with the healthcare system. We offer our unique perspective on what it was like for 2 health IT guys to experience the health system first hand.
What also makes this episode interesting is you get to have a flavor of how the US healthcare system differs from the Canadian healthcare system since Colin lives in Canada and I’m in the US. Plus, we’re able to share our experience as a patient versus a caregiver. Needless to say, we talk about how IT was used in our care and places where IT wasn’t used in our care. And we couldn’t resist mentioning some of the challenges around the cost of healthcare and how that impacted our experience.
Now, without further ado, we’re excited to share with you the next episode of the Healthcare IT Today podcast.
