Kris & David are back this week for another wild episode of BTS, as we go over the week that was July 6-12, 2000, a Patreon pick.

  • This show is dominated by World Championship Wrestling, particularly Bash at the Beach 2000 and the fallout from that crazy PPV, especially the Vince Russo/Hulk Hogan/Jeff Jarrett/Booker T saga, which we hit from all directions including Guy Evans’ “Nitro” book. Lots of in-depth analysis here of one of the wildest moments in wrestling history. We also talk about the rest of that PPV, plus we have the aftermath on Nitro & Thunder, as well, featuring some great WCW EVERYBODY moments. This is one of the greatest WCW sections we have ever done.
  • We then go International talking about All Japan starting anew after the NOAH crew split off—although they actually still have a presence that you have to hear about. We also have other news on NJPW, NOAH, AAA running a Japanese tour, and more, including all of the notable lucha libre news and results.
  • Next, we go to ECW, where we talk about their life on TNN soon coming to an end, Raven being on his way out, and Bob Backlund showing up at a TV taping in Poughkeepsie, as well as all of the notable indie news and results.
  • We close with the WWF, where Dr. Pepper became the latest advertiser to pull out of WWF programming, plus Smackdown & Raw popping major ratings, and so much more.

This was a helluva damn show if just for the WCW section, so don't miss out!!!!
