This week we start with a lot of positive stuff, which means we don’t talk about the Dodgers series until about halfway through. Willson Contreras is now a THREE-time All-Star starter, and Ian Happ made his first all-star team as well. Isn’t it nice to have all-stars? We think so, and hope the Cubs organization agrees. We also run down the home run derby lineup (which looks great), talk about Justin Steele’s birthday/becoming a dad/pitching great week, and then do a little bit of a mid-season vibe check…that’s a little less positive than the first half, but hey, we contain multitudes. Happy All-Star week to everyone (but especially Willson & Ian)!
