Authors Raj Desai and Steven Smith evaluated data for patients with stable hypertension and depression to determine whether the initiation of serotonin norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors had a similar risk of antihypertensive treatment intensification and major adverse cardiovascular events compared to initiation of SSRIs.
