Goobz & Toby pick one retro video game each episode to play. They discuss the history, story, game play, music, fun facts, then rate it at the end from 1-10. The goal is to see which old games hold up today and maybe see if some of our favorites are only good due to nostalgia. The guys mostly play games on NES, SNES, N64, GameCube, SEGA Genesis, Playstation, PS2, and any other dead console they can get their hands on.*ADULT LANGUAGE IS USED*

The Bit Effect release two episodes a month focussing on new releases. We go in depth on mechanics and try to keep story spoilers fairly light. Any spoilers will be flagged! If you are looking for our retro show check out nomoresages for a trip down memory lane!

From Montreal Canada (retro gaming hell) Frenchpet gives you his hot takes on gaming culture (spoiler: he hates it) and gives his opinions on all sorts of retro gaming related stuff. This podcast is NOT for the faint at heart. Adult themes, language, and some touchy subjects. If you are easily triggered, you'll regret listening!

Due to essentially gaming since birth, we have an extensive knowledge of all things gaming and are all over the gaming scene, writing books, doing convention panels you name it. This is VGBS!
