Hi, Diana here, I am a quilter and an amateur poet. I enjoy the creative outlet that both quilting and poetry offer me. I think that both of these pursuits are enriching in their own way, but are also different in other ways. The act of quilting is like fine embroidery, working with a needle and thread to create designs that would be impossible using any other type of needle. In contrast, poetry is more spontaneous than quilting and more cerebral in nature.
