River has been a decorated fighter throughout her amateur boxing career, competing in both Germany and Canada. She made the choice to focus on boxing over pursuing a journalism career and now resides in Vancouver B.C. where she boxes out of Quinit Boxing. River founded and coaches Queer Box Camp and Functional Fitness East Van and will make her pro debut on November 12th on Empire Boxing Promotion's The Takeover at the Grand Villa Casino in Burnaby, B.C.
